Reisæter small hydro power station

Reisæter small hydro power station on the Hardangerfjord
The Reisæter small hydroelectric power station is situated on a side arm of the Hardangerfjord and processes the water from the two streams Bleieelvi and Strutana in the catchment area of the Folgefonna glacier. The water catchments lie at 430 and 500 metres above sea level. Two pressure pipes carry the water into the 130 to almost 200 metres lower machine room. The two independent turbine generator groups together have a capacity of around 1.4 MW and have an annual average output of 4.9 GWh of electricity. Since 2009 the Reisæter small hydroelectric power station supplies electrical energy into the regional supply grid.
