Alpiq Total is a concept that covers all aspects of the customer's power purchases. The main areas are:

• Consultancy regarding the power market
• Financial hedging of power
• Physical purchase of power
• Management of grid rental invoices
• Invoicing including all costs: power, financial results, grid rental and charges on a collective invoice
• Reporting of consumption and cost figures for plants and cost centres, and total costs.

The portfolio is managed through continuous and dynamic price hedging for the agreed time horizon and within the agreed mandate. Power contracts are supplied in the currency desired so as to eliminate currency exposure. The power contracts can be hedged with reference to the player's area price such that this risk is minimised. We also reduce the uncertainty attached to physical volume by defining the player's periodic consumption/production profile. Reporting is performed in several ways - through manual reports, for example, or via online reporting where you have access to all the reports and can select the ones you need.
