Erik Saether is the new Managing Director of Nordic Holding

The new head of the Alpiq subsidiary Atel Nordic Holding in Norway is Erik Saether. The 55 year old economist will take up his new position on August 1, 2009 in Oslo. He will be responsible for the management of the Business Unit Market Nordic.

Alpiq Holding Ltd. has appointed Erik Saether as Managing Director Nordic Holding. From his location in Oslo, he will be responsible for around 120 employees from the 1st of August 2009. Erik Saether will report directly to Antonio Taormina, Head of the Business Division Energy Western Europe. In his new function, Erik Saether will be responsible for the management of the Business Unit Market Nordic.

The 55 year old Norwegian has many years of experience in the electricity industry. Following his studies at the Norwegian School of Economics, he was employed by companies in Norway, Sweden, the USA and Germany – finally for many years with Vattenfall the Swedish power company. Since 2008 Erik Saether has been manager of the Norwegian company Nord Pool Spot.
