Energipartner (now named Alpiq Norway) was founded in 1991 as an independent player in the energy market. Atel expressed an interest in the company as early as 2000, and increased its ownership stake from 70% to 100% in 2003.

Alpiq Norway's vision is to create the best energy solutions in the Nordic region, and our ambition is to be a trend-setting challenger in the Nordic energy market.

The company was founded in 1991 as an independent player in the energy market, with its focus directed primarily towards consultancy and power broking. Today, Alpiq Norway's business consists of power broking, portfolio management, trading and origination. Our customer base comprises energy plants and players from the industrial, service and public sectors. Through a close working relationship with Alpiq, our owner, we are in a position to provide services that cover the European power markets.

Portfolio management typically includes consultancy, market and price analyses, development and implementation of customised energy strategies. Strategies of this kind may involve physical and financial portfolio management, as well as the processing of energy contracts and invoice administration. Through our origination team, we provide services centred on structuring, adapting, negotiating and implementing non-standardised agreements, often across the boundaries of raw materials markets.
Alpiq Norway currently employs a total of 40 people. Our head office is located in Oslo Atrium, near Oslo Central Railway Station. We also have offices in Aalborg and Copenhagen, Denmark.
